There are many causes of stretch marks such as excessive stretching of the skin, hormonal changes, weight gain, pregnancy etc. If you are also suffering from stretch marks then first of all, make a balanced skin care regimen and use some organic or natural ingredients in order to save yourself from the side effects of chemical based products. Here are some good home based tips and remedies to lighten stretch marks naturally.

  •  Apply few drops of chamomile oil on the affected area of your skin. Gently, massage the area. Use this remedy at least 3 times a day.
  • Massaging the affected area with lavender oil is also useful to get rid of stretch marks. You can also use a mixture of chamomile oil and lavender oil for better results.
  • Cocoa butter is well known for removing stretch and burn marks. Apply it on the affected area, 2 to 3 times a day.
  • Aloe Vera is fully loaded with medicinal properties. Try to apply fresh aloe vera gel on the skin to, get rid of stretch marks completely.
  • Make a homemade stretch marks removal cream by mixing ¼ cup aloe vera gel + ½ cup of olive oil or almond oil, + 4 capsules of vitamin E (liquid) + 2 capsules of vitamin A (liquid). Apply it at night.
  • Try to make your diet menu healthy by including vitamin E rich sources such as carrots, tomatoes, oatmeal and soybeans are etc. Also, include plenty of fruits, green leafy vegetables and nuts to give your skin adequate nourishment.
  • Keep your body hydrated by drinking 12-14 glasses of water throughout the day,
  • Stay away from coffee and alcohol.
  • Try to go for herbal skin care products with ingredients such as cocoa butter, rose hip oil, emu oil, jojoba oil, castor oil, shea butter, Vitamin A, Vitamin E and Vitamin C.
